The Wackness Full Movie Part 1

Terrible Netflix Original Movies You Forgot. Netflix has a history of churning out bad original movies and then sweeping them under the rug, hoping they’ll get lost in the endless black hole of titles available for streaming. It feels like whenever it comes time to market a Netflix original, the streaming giant is suspiciously silent. Of course, sometimes this in on purpose: if the company knows it made a clunker, it tries to get the release over with without drawing attention to the misstep. A good Netflix original movie isn’t an impossibility (see Okja, or Beasts of No Nation).

But the overwhelming majority are either terrible or merely serviceable. Netflix original movies that are bombs are a lot easier to bury than movies released traditionally in theater, which is why some of these terrible films are able to secretly debut on Netflix and then lurk there forever, never to be heard of again, much less recommended for you by Netflix’s algorithm. Here are 1. 5 Terrible Netflix Original Movies You Completely Forgot About. War Machine. Putting Brad Pitt in a war satire seems like a good idea in theory, but it didn’t work out in practice for Netflix. For satire to work, it has to be water- tight.

And War Machine was not: the film earned a middling Rotten Tomatoes score of 5. Pitt is funny some of the time, though, and the film is a treasure trove of his ridiculous faces. The film is based on the nonfiction book The Operators: The Wild and Terrifying Inside Story of America’s War in Afghanistan by journalist Michael Hastings. It’s a chronicle of the reporter’s time spent with General Stanley Mc. Chrystal. Although War Machine had a high- profile star and a capable writer/director (David Michôd, known for Animal Kingdom and Hesher), Netflix still managed to bungle this film.

The Discovery. The Discoveryhas a chilling premise: a world in which the existence afterlife has been proven scientifically. The discovery was made by Dr. Thomas Harbor (Robert Redford), and as a result, humans are committing suicide in droves, hoping to be able to start their lives over in the next world and achieve a better existence than their current one. As much as we want this movie to be good, it divided critics and earned itself a 4.

Rotten Tomatoes. Reviewers agreed that while the concept of a world in which the afterlife exists is fascinating, but the movie’s plot is non- existent. Jason Segel also stars as Harbor’s son and Rooney Mara plays his suicidal acquaintance. Jesse Plemons, Riley Keough, and Mary Steenburgen round out the talented cast. Message from the King. The “king” in. Message from the King isn’t a monarch: rather, he is a chain- wielding man named Jacob King who’s hell- bent on revenge. King, played by Chadwick Boseman (Marvel’s Black Panther), travels from South Africa to Los Angeles looking for his sister.

Clifford Smith (born March 2, 1971), better known by his stage name Method Man, is an American rapper, record producer, and actor. He is known as a member of the East. In the history of motion pictures in the United States, many films have been set in New York City, or a fictionalized version thereof. The following is a list of some. When he finds out that she’s dead, he swears to avenge her death. Message from the King premiered at the 2. Toronto International Film Festival, and Netflix released it on August 4, 2. It is helmed by Belgian director Fabrice du Welz and also stars Alfred Molina, Luke Evans, and Tom Felton. The Playlist, one of the only major publications to review the film, wrote, “While its story moves forward in a way that makes sense, Du Welz’s pacing is too slow and too choppy for the movie to build up much momentum.”1. Small Crimes. Is Game of Thrones‘ Nikolaj Coster- Waldau a big enough name to carry a Netflix original movie? Apparently not, Netflix learned.

The Dark Tower. Now maybe Stephen King knows how I felt when I saw the third Alex Cross movie. My condolences. Ironically, I wanted Idris Elba to play Alex Cross. It’s less about music and more about how hard it is — and how bad it feels — to be absolutely and completely on the outside. And though the movie is.

Small Crimes scored a rotten 5. Rotten Tomatoes. But it wasn’t universally panned, at least. Critics called it a solid, if sometimes tiring, crime thriller. Small Crimes premiered at South by Southwest, and Netflix bought the distribution rights and released it on April 2. Here’s the story: a former cop (Coster- Waldau) has just been prison after serving a six- year sentence for attempted murder.

He returns home looking for redemption, but he can’t escape his sinister past. The movie is based on crime noir writer Dave Zeltserman’s critically- acclaimed novel of the same name. Gary Cole (Veep, Office Space) and character actress Jacki Weaver (Silver Linings Playbook, Stoker) also star.

Take The 1. 0Did you want to see more of Tony Revolori (aka Flash Thompson) after Spider- Man: Homecoming? Well, he’s in this Netflix original movie that no one has even heard of. It also stars Josh Peck and literally no one else.“What? Beloved former Nickelodeon star Josh Peck is in a Netflix movie? Why didn’t I know about this?” you ask. Probably because… it’s not very good. Peck and Revolori play two hip- hop loving guys who go to a hip- hop concert.

Also, this is the second time Peck has played a guy who likes hip- hop: the first time was in 2. The Wackness. Take the 1. Chester Tam, who’s best known for appearances in Pop Star: Never Stop Never Stopping and Workaholics. Girlfriend’s Day.

Girlfriend’s Day is abysmal. That’s strange, because it comes from Bob Odenkirk, who’s usually a funny actor and writer. But this movie is flat, pointless, and feels like it’s 5 hours long. Even Odenkirk seems to be just trying to get it over with. The title refers to a potentially profitable new holiday made up by Odenkirk’s character, Ray, a celebrated greeting card writer who’s in a slump. But that’s not really what the movie is about: instead, it turns into a hackneyed crime drama movie so boring that you’re just begging for it to be over. No one really acknowledged the arrival of Girlfriend’s Day on Netflix: the film has so few reviews it doesn’t even have a Rotten Tomatoes score.

But most of the critics who did review the film did not see it in a favorable light. You Get Me. Disney Channel and Freeform star Bella Thorne plays the “other woman” who just won’t go away in teen thriller You Get Me. Here’s the story: couple Tyler and Ali break up, and Tyler immediately sleeps with a stranger named Holly (Thorne). When Ali wants to get back together, Holly won’t be shoved aside, and proves to be a deadly problem for the pair. The other stars, Halston Sage and Taylor John Smith, aren’t very well- known.

Sage broke into the business in 2. Paper Towns and Goosebumps.

Taylor John Smith’s first role was as an extra in The Hunger Games, credited (or rather, according to IMDb, uncredited) as Propaganda Film Tribute, which pretty much sums up his early career. He went on to land a role in American Crime. Although Netflix hoped to draw in the teen drama audience, the fans didn’t like what they saw: the film was not well- received.

Sand Castle. It seems like every Netflix original movie these days is a war movie. The plot of Sand Castle follows a squad of U.

S. soldiers protecting a small village during the Iraq War in 2. The film, which was released April 2. Rotten Tomatoes. It stars Henry Cavill (our most recent Superman) and Nicholas Hoult (Mad Max: Fury Road, X- Men) as some serious soldier guys with buzz cuts. Sand Castle was screenwriter Chris Roessner’s first feature. The director is Fernando Coimbra, who previously wrote and directed A Wolf at the Door in 2. The relative inexperience of the screenwriter and director put a lot of pressure on Henry Cavill to sell the movie, and while he is a respected actor, he’s not quite a household name.

Shimmer Lake. Shimmer Lake is billed as a crime thriller told backwards over the course of a week. The story follows a sheriff as he investigates a mystery involving three small- town criminals and a bank heist.

Things You Never Knew About Drake And Josh. Drake and Josh was one of Nickelodeon’s most popular live- action sitcoms when it aired between 2. Created by Dan Schneider, the show starred Drake Bell and Josh Peck as step- brothers who were polar opposites in many ways yet similar in many others.

Drake was the cool, popular musician with an army of adoring fangirls, whereas Josh was the chubby, goofy nerd with the heart of gold. Although the brothers had their differences, they eventually became good friends and the awkward situations and bother they regularly found themselves in provided kids, teenagers and adults alike with hours of entertainment. Part of the reason as to why Drake and Josh transcended kid fandom was its ability to create characters we actually cared about. Schneider understood his actors and wrote to their strengths. It also didn’t hurt that the show was genuinely funny and smart, and somehow managed to find that happy balance between silly and mature. While a lot of kid shows please younger viewers with fart jokes, Drake and Josh respected their intelligence and delivered scenarios which injected some outlandishness into real- life situations we can all relate to.

It’s been 1. 0 years since Drake and Josh wrapped, but it’s still fondly remembered in contemporary pop culture. In honor of the show’s brilliance, we decided to remember it by digging up some fun facts. Here are 1. 5 Things You Never Knew About Drake And Josh. IT WASN’T THE FIRST SHOW THEY APPEARED IN TOGETHERNickelodeon stars appearing in several of the network’s shows isn’t an uncommon occurrence, so by the time Drake and Josh aired in 2. Between 1. 99. 9 and 2.

The Amanda Show, a sketch comedy series helmed by Drake and Josh creator, Dan Schneider. One of the five spin- off shows of All That, The Amanda Show was essentially like Saturday Night Live for kids. The show was spearheaded by Amanda Bynes, but Peck and Bell were regulars and played an array of characters. The show didn’t fare as well as its predecessor critically or ratings- wise, but it did plant the seeds for Drake and Josh to be born.

Immediately after The Amanda Show’s cancellation, Schneider wrote the starring vehicle for Peck and Bell and the rest is history. DRAKE’S SONGS APPEAR ON STUDIO ALBUMSIn the show, Drake was an aspiring rock star.

He sang, played guitar, and girls loved him all the more for it. But the character embodied by Bell in the sitcom isn’t too dissimilar to the actor in real life, as he’s been recording and releasing music simultaneously with his on- screen work since the mid- 2. All those cute songs performed by the actor in the show? Those were all really his. The most notable is “Found a Way’’, which viewers remember as the show’s now- iconic and totally rockin’ theme tune. Other highlights include “Highway to Nowhere’’, “Down We Fall’’, “Makes Me Happy’’, and “Girl Next Door.’’ Forget the Jonas Brothers; Drake Bell is ultimate rock icon of teen television.

In 2. 00. 5 and 2. Bell released the studio albums Telegraph and It’s Only Time, which included the aforementioned tracks from the show, in addition to new ones in a similar pop- rock style.

THERE IS A BOOK SERIESWho remembers novelizations? Sure they still exist, but back in the day literary counterparts to our favorite (and least favorite) shows and movies accompanied basically everything. Drake and Josh was no different. Originally published in 2. Scholastic, a series of seven novels were released by author Laurie Mc.

Elroy, based on content from several episodes and the TV movie, Drake and Josh Go Hollywood. Some of the episodes which were adapted to the page include “Blues Brothers’’, “Alien Invasion’’, and “Kid Trouble.’’ However, each book contains elements from other episodes as well, which spices things up a little. On top of that, novelizations are mostly based on original scripts as opposed the final versions you see on screen, so you can always expect some surprises. Mc. Elroy also penned novelizations for other shows on the network, including i. Carly and Hannah Montana. Should you choose to embark on this journey, there’s a whole world of Nickelodeon- themed fiction out there waiting to be rediscovered.

CELEBRITY CAMEOSDrake and Josh didn’t just help launch the careers of its main stars. If you revisit old episodes, you’ll spot some of today’s popular stars in some of their earliest roles. Take Lucy Hale for instance; before Pretty Little Liars she played Drake’s date, Hazel, in the episode “Theater Thug’’.

Or how about Vanessa Hudgens? Before High School Musical, she smooched Drake in the episode “Little Sibling.” Gossip Girl’s Jessica Szohr appeared in one of the earliest episodes, “Two Idiots and a Baby’’, playing of Drake’s adoring fangirls.

Are you starting to spot a pattern here? The most memorable celeb appearance is Emma Roberts, who appeared in the episode “Honor Council’’ as her character from Unfabulous, Addie Singer.

Since then, the actress has found fame having starred in the TV show Scream Queens, the hit comedy We’re the Millers, and this year’s critically acclaimed chiller, The Blackcoat’s Daughter. THERE ARE TWO VIDEO GAMESIn 2. THQ released two video games based on the show. The first, simply titled Drake and Josh, was a Game Boy Advance exclusive and involves the player controlling both titular characters through a series of action, problem solving, and stealth missions.

Upon release, the game was heralded for its impressive graphics and fun puzzles, but it was also criticized for its extreme difficulty. The second game, Drake and Josh: Talent Showdown, was released for the Nintendo DS and takes place in the cut- throat world of teen talent contents. The objective of the game is to avoid sabotage and complete tasks in order to win the show, “Teen American Talent.’’ The game retains the humor and spirit of the show and features interaction between familiar characters. Unlike its predecessor, however, the game was panned for not being very challenging at all. BOTH STARS DIRECTED AN EPISODE EACHDirecting hasn’t been a regular thing in the careers of Josh Peck or Drake Bell, but they’ve both dabbled in the craft from time to time. And what better place to have started than their flagship show?

Peck’s first time behind the director’s chair was on the 2. Battle of Panthatar’’, which sees the brothers get uninvited to the biggest birthday bash of the year after Drake gets caught playing tonsil tennis with the host’s girlfriend. In a bid to get their invites reinstated, Drake offers his Beatles album to the upset birthday boy. He then accepts the album and closes the door on them. The rest of the episode involves much hijinks as the lovable oafs try to break into the party and steal the album back.

Bell’s first directorial credit was on the first part of the finale episode, “The Big Shrimp’’, which sees Josh try to make amends with Drake after costing him a huge opportunity to achieve rock super stardom. Watch Don`T Go In The Woods Online Hitfix more. It also just so happens to one of the most acclaimed and popular episodes in the show’s entire canon, as well as one of the greatest closing chapters in the history of television. THE MAIN STARS WERE OPEN TO A REUNIONDrake and Josh made headlines recently after the former revealed how he wasn’t invited to his co- stars wedding. The most heartbreaking part about the entire fiasco, however, is the fact that both actors have expressed interest in a reunion in recent years.
